But today I'm gonna introduce Lavender fields in SAPPORO!
Actually, the first cultivation in Japan has begun in Minamisawa,
where "Tokai University Sapporo Campus" is in.

Horomitoge Lavender Garden
About 5,000 lavender plants have planted in Horomitoge,
which is also a popular night view spot of Sapporo.
Moreover, you can enjoy it without getting off the car,
so you can visit regardless of the temperature.
There is no public transportation to get directly, it is the best to get there by car.

Makomanai Hill of the Buddha
There is a special view that can only be seen here,
where the Buddha statue, the symbol of Makomanai Takino Cemetery,
surrounded by the lavenders.
Unfortunately, the promenade on the lavender hill "The Road of prayer" is temporarily closed,
but I highly recommend the lavender fields that can be seen from afar.

Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill
This place where is famous for the sheep breeding and for the statue of Dr. William Smith Clark
is also one of the recommended spot in summer with lavender.
The free event for picking lavenders will be held in this year too.
*Flowers cannot be taken out of Japan.

Yurigahara Park
As the name implies(Yuri means lily in Japanese),
about 100 kinds of lilies from the world are planted,
and you can also see seasonal flowers such as lilac, tulips, lavender, and roses.
Moreover, lilies full blooms at the same time as lavender.
We also recommend the Lily Train, which goes around a beautiful flower garden.
