It seems that Hokkaido’s winter is almost finished,
the weather changes to spring.
Snow covering roads is almost melted,
there are barely any more days under 0 degrees even at night.
Comparing with the other years, definitely I feel this year’s spring is coming faster.
2020’s cherry blossom forecast is announced!🌸🌸
As expected, it is faster than the other years.

during golden week holidays in Japan would be enjoyed peak bloomed cherry blossoms!😊💖

Sapporo is a week faster than the other years.
It seems that this year’s high temperature has affected strongly the blooming date.

up to 3rd places in Hokkaido!
The first place is Goryokaku Park in Hakodate
where you can enjoy the pink colored star-shaped fort.
It is also recommended to walk in the park,
but the most impressed part is seeing the pink star fort on the observation deck of the Goryokaku Tower.

The second place is Maruyama Park(Hokkaido Shrine) in Sapporo city.
As it is easy to access, and it is allowed BBQ in the park only in this cherry blooming season,
it is always loved for a cherry blossom viewing spot for Sapporo citizens.
It is also good sightseeing area for tourists because it is located next to the Hokkaido Shrine and Maruyama Zoo.
If you are considering BBQ in Maruyama Park, please check the allowed period and area in advance.

The 3rd place is Shizunai Nijukken Road Cherry Blossom Trees in Shinhidaka-cho.
It is a place where cherry blossoms are in full bloom for about 7km in a straight line
that is recognized as a variety of famous places in Japan for its wonderful viewing.
This cherry blossom road, which seems to continue endless, shows an unforgettable sight.
It will be held Sakura Matsuri(Festival) together.
It is difficult to visit using public transportations, we recommend going to use a car.
