About the vehicle
Introducing Axio HYBRID, TOYOTA's hybrid car. Being the sedan-type vehicle it is, Axio HYBRID has a hybrid system also found in Toyota's AQUA. The fuel economy of Axio HYBRID is 33.8km/L, making it a highly efficient hybrid vehicle. While the vehicle is quiet - as all hybrids are supposed to be - and the turning in a small radius, giving the driver a satisfying driving experience. The vehicle size is 440 cm(length)× 169 cm(width) × 146 cm(height).
The vehicle's interior isn't like the ordinary hybrid cars, it has the structure to be able to drive without feeling discomfort.
To start the vehicle's engine, step down on the brake while simultaneous pressing the push button on the right side of the steering wheel with the smart key inside of a car.
The vehicle is so quiet that you probably won't even notice it when you turn on the engine. Please check to see whether the 【Ready】 signal is on when you start the engine.
The LCD display attached to the meter shows information such as fuel economy rankings, how much longer the vehicle could go with the amount of gasoline left, distance covered by the vehicle, how much gasoline cost the driver has saved, etc.
The button for the LCD display can be found on the right side of the steering wheel, so you will be able to keep your hands on the steering wheel as you use the LCD display.
The GPS has been installed here so you will have an easy access to it.
The ETC device can usually be found attached to the dashboard, which is located on the top right hand side of the meter.
The shift knob in this vehicle is the gate type automatic shift knob, meaning that it works the same way as it the regular shift knob works in gas-powered vehicles, so fear not even if it's your first time driving a hybrid.
The parking brake comes with an EV Drive Mode switch. Only the motor will be running if you press this switch. This switch comes in handy when you wish to enjoy a quiet drive while reducing the vehicle's emission. ※ Please note that the switch may be unable to function as a result of the condition of the hybrid system.
The PCS (pre-crash safety system) that the vehicle comes with helps prevent vehicle collisions. In addition, the vehicle's LDA (lane departure alert) issues warnings when the vehicle has gone out lane.
In terms of its size, the rear seat area of the vehicle is as big as that of the regular gas-powered vehicle. It has a pleasant texture of the seat, too.
This is a picture of Axio HYBRID with a baby car seat installed. There is still plenty of space available even with the baby car seat in place.
The trunk size of this vehicle is the same as that of the regular gas-powered vehicle. There is enough space in the trunk to hold three items, each the size of the average carry-on luggage.
