In December, Sapporo White Illumination is held,
the central of Sapporo city is colored with light!
Although Sapporo would have been full of people and festive mood in previous years,
unfortunately, due to the influence of Covid19,
illumination lighting hours were reduced this year
and the German Christmas Market, which was held together during this time, was suspended this year.
Even so, I would like to report on Sapporo today,
with photos that I would like everyone to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere of Sapporo.

To prevent the spread of the Covid19 infections,
the lighting time has been changed from 16:30 to 20:00 (until 22:00 before the change).

1. Lighting period extension
（1）Odori Site
1・2 chome：December 26, 2020 (Sat) ~ February 28, 2021 (Sun)
3～6 chome：January 5, 2021 (Tue) ~ February 28, 2021 (Sun)
※Initial plan：Until Friday, December 25, 2020
※3-6 chome will be turned off for the period from Saturday, December 26, 2020 to Monday, January 4, 2021
due to partial removal of illuminations and facility inspection.
（2）Ekimae Street Site
February 12, 2021 (Fri) ~ February 28, 2021 (Sun)
※Initial plan：Until February 11, 2021 (Thu)
（3）Minami Ichijo site, Kita sanjo Plaza (Akapla), and JR Sapporo Station South Exit Station plaza
will be held until March 14, 2021 (Sun) as originally planned.
